Reporting

Hi everyone

i'm asking about the difference between web authentication and client authentication regarding reports because my senior says it's necessary to use client authentication to get a clear report for users while i see that both are the same

so tell me the difference plz

  • Hi : Thank you for reaching out to the Sophos community team. All the authentication-related events can be downloaded on below navigation steps:

Reports > Compliance > Show :Events , Select Authentication events.

If you are using any web-based authentication method like Captive portal or NTML then those will be generated here and if you are using client-based authentication like CAA ( client authentication agent) then the same will generate on the same location as per the above navigation, so overall any of the authentication methods logs which are getting used for user authentication behind your XG will be generated on the above navigation path.
