Vlan > Wan Traffic?

Hi All

I've created a vlan on our firewall and created a zone and allowed the device access, ive created a firewall rule from the zone to the wan but i cant access the internet on that vlan, do i need to create a nat rule for this to work? (i see create linked nat rule is an option in the firewall rule)

  • Hi,

no, you do not need a NAT rule if you are using the default NAT rule. Linked NAT rules are really only useful if you have multiple gateway/internet links.

Next, which version o f XG software are you running?

When you created the ZONE what type did you declare it as?

How to you assign IP addresses for your clan and does your device connected to the VLAN get an IP address in the range of the VLAN?
