Seems issue with your VLAN configuration on switch you might have to look again and make sure the configuration is proper.
Please make sure Ping is enabled under System ---->Administration --->Device Access
Please check VLAN is configured on Sophos XG as per the below link too :

Please check and share the log for the below command on Sophos XG CLI:
console>tcpdump 'host 172.16.16.16 and proto ICMP ( execute the command ping again to check the logs on cli)
console>drop-packet-capture 'host 172.16.16.16 and proto ICMP
