XG230 WAF support for TLS 1.3?

Hi,

We've a XG230 running SFOS 18.5.2 MR-2-Build380

Under Web Server -> General Settings -> TLS version settings I have three options.

  • TLS v1 or later
  • TLS v1.1 or later
  • TLS v1.2

We have TLS v1.2 selected.

I've checked and can confirm the WAF is only accepting TLS 1.2. However, why in 2022 is it not supporting TLS 1.3?

TLS 1.3 was first available in August 2018

    It is currently not implemented. TLS1.2 is still fully supported by all browsers and not deprecated. 

    What is the use case for TLS1.3 in this scenario? Do you have security concerns?
