Backup via cli

To create a backup via the CLI you can run the following command from the Advanced Shell.

#opcode system_backup -ds nosync

The backup location would be under /var/conf/backupdata

Getting message Backup generated but couldn't identify that location.

There is no conf file or directory inside /var.

Hi nwsbeta: The backup location referred by emmosophos is with reference to XG Firewall itself.

But how can I download to local storage. 

If I want to upload that backup file to another xg

Copy it to /tmp/ You should have access to /tmp/ via SCP.

But how? 

You should be careful in using those tools without the minimum required knowledge of linux.
