Public IP to Hostname

Just to clarify, do you mean you want a hostname->IP lookup to occur when a packet is NAT'd so that the IP address can change dynamically? Or something else?

Exactly. 
I have an application that could be accessed via [host IP]/application on a browser. And I managed to NAT to that Host's ip.
But now, after an update, access to the web address has changed to [hostname]/application on the browser. 

In short, I can do NAT to IP, but I would like to do NAT to hostname instead.

you will need to register it in the XG DNS and tick advertise on the WAN.

Ok, Found it. But it hasn't worked. The following are my settings:

Entry Type: Interface IP
IP Address: Portx - Public IP
TTL: 60
Weight:255
Publish on WAN: Checked
Add reverse DNS Lookup for this host entry: Checked



This has not worked. It is still taking me to the IP address as opposed to the Hostname

Try a dns lookup from outside of your network.
