XG106w v17.5.15 MR15 to v18.5.1 MR1

Question

Am looking at upgrading XG106w v17.5.15 MR15 to v18.5.1 MR1. 
 In the updates section on Firewall (and also when logging on) there is a 18.5.1 MR1 update recommended. The update Matrix seems to suggest that this update path is supported for configurations etc and will upgrade without any problem. Can others confirm that the process is smooth. I haven't seen (or can not find) any preparation steps (a backup is taken daily). Any other advice / tips? Many thank in advance

 You may avail and information about v18.5.1 MR 1 by clicking on the previous version and later checking for the upgrade information. It also has known issues details.

 Supported platforms 
 Versions 18.5 MR2 and 18.5 MR1 
 Sophos Firewall OS versions 18.5 MR2 and 18.5 MR1 are available on all form factors as follows: 
 
 XGS Series firewalls 
 XG Series firewalls 
 SG Series firewalls 
 Virtual and software appliances 
 Cloud platforms

You may find this in the link provided. It does specify that it is supported for XG series firewalls. 
 In case, let's say it fails. You will still have an option to roll back.
