WE have Sophos XG firewalls x 5 nos.
The latest firmware vs.18.X makes backups in encrypted format. We had gven a particular key while taking backup. However, while uploading the backup taken it would not recognize the key. We finally had to reset firewall to factory default and reconfigure from scratch.
Can someone explain why this happenned ? IS there some other way in which the key can be changed?
Also what are the options in the event of loss of this key ? Is it possible to recover the backup using some master key or would Sophos help in this regard?
