Syslog Server on Different Interface - not LAN

Hi,

I'm trying to setup a Syslog Server which sits on one of the XG Interfaces that is not our LAN side interface.

The traffic doesn't seem to be getting to the Syslog Server, there doesn't seem to be any logs relating to the traffic either.

Does the Syslog Server need to be sat on an IP Address the beyond the LAN interface or can it be sent to other Interfaces? If so how?

Do I need a firewall rule?

Static Route etc.?

I've read all the Sophos Documentation relating to Syslog server setup, but can't find anything specific

Ironically, I have another Firewall (Cisco) sending Syslogs to the Syslog Server hosted on one of the non LAN XG Interfaces and the traffic is flowing fine, it;s coming in via the LAN interface.

Any help appreciated

Craig
