Cannot Register XGS with license server

Trying to install a XGS126 , been able to do the basic setup. Now when logging onto the web frontend, I am getting a request to register the box. When clicking on continue, error is that the XGS is unable to reach the license server.

Have connected vis SSH to box and tested name resolution and ping, all work fine. So now out of ideas. Anyone out there seen something like this?

  • Hi  : Thank you for sharing the suspected logs here with us. Please share the below output here in a text file for reference:

    1) #openssl s_client -connect eu-prod-csr.soa.sophos.com:443

    2) #openssl s_client -connect eu-prod-utm.soa.sophos.com:443 -showcerts

    You may also capture the PCAP on the above URLs on XG during sync time or error time to see how the communication goes with the license server from XG.

  • Thanks for all the help first thing I checked was the time and date. Somehow missed that time and date were one year exactly in the future.  Date sorted license server connected. Must be fresh eyes after some sleep.
