Best way to upgrade from SG210 (SFOS 18.5) to XGS2100 without license problems?

Hi,

i have a SG210 (SFOS 18.5) in production with a license valid until 13 Dezemer 2021.
The new hardware XGS2100 is here and i have a license renewal startinng at 14 Dezember 2021.

I would like to swicht Hardware next Week and i am not sure, how to upgrade.

Is there any best practice how to upgrade to new hardware with the old license and would i just enter the new license data at 13 Dezember or earlier?

I have installed a backup of SG210 into XGS2100 now, the XGS is not registered or connected to internet right now.

What will haben if i connect both XGS2100 and SG210 with internet now?

    You should interact with Sophos Sales or your Sophos Partner. 

    You could potentially start a Trial for your Appliance on the XGS (30 days), which will be used if there is no valid license yet. If the License is valid, it will be automatically replaced in the backend and synced to the firewall.
