2 DNS, but only use 1 for phonesystem

Hi,

I have two WANs connected on my Sophos XG SFOS 18.5.1. The DNS is configured with "Obtain DNS from PPPoE".

My Problem now is, that my PhoneSystem is using DNS from the Sophos.

But it may only use the DNS from WAN2 and not from WAN1.

How can I configured it, that the phonesystem only uses DNS from WAN2?

    Yes, I use T-online. And my PhoneSystem is Yeastar.

    The last months there was on the Yeastar this DNS configured: 217.237.148.70

    But than I get many call problems, and now I change the DNS every night in the yeastar to the DNS from PPPoE.

    And now there no problems. So I´m not shure, that a preferred DNS is the solution...

    Hi,
    If I have understood the problem correctly, telephone systems for the Telecom SIP connection need an SRV record via DNS. Not many providers offer this SRV record (or even only the t-online DNS servers).
    Then of course no DNS server of a "foreign" ISP may be used.
    Telecom's telephone system technician had a tool with which the suitability of the DNS server could be tested.

    wenn ich das Problem richtig verstanden habe, benötigen Telefonanlage für die Telecom-SIP-Verbindung einen SRV-record via DNS. Diesen SRV-record bieten nicht viele Anbieter (oder sogar nur die t-online DNS-server).
    Dann darf natürlich kein DNS-Server eines "fremden" ISP verwendet werden.
    Der Telefonanalagen-Techniker der telecom hatte ein Tool, mit welchem die Tauglichkeit der DNS-server getestet werden konnten.

    Aber der Record müsste auch direkt per nslookup abzufragen sein.
