Firewall has not checked in Sophos Central for past 5 minutes (Multiple locations)

from this morning we got a lot of "Firewall has not checked in Sophos Central for past 5 minutes"

All our locations work perfectly and VPN has no problems.

Is there a website to look for the status of Sophos Central if they have an outage?

Hi SGH Thank you for reaching out to the Sophos community team. It may appear due to connection interruption between central and firewall, possibly due to packet loss or unstable gateway, etc.

You may check centralmanagement.log from your firewall to validate more on this. Please check out the following document for Log file details.

Hi,

there would appear to be an issue with CM, because the report above covers at least 4 different XGs.

What is your version used on the firewalls?

We have version SFOS 17.5.16 MR-16-Build830

With a total of 4 different locations.

They all have different Internet Service Providers and different Gateways

yes, 4 different XGs

I manage 5 locations and only the locations with version SFOS 17.5 have these messages from Sophos Central.

Maybe Sophos pulled the plugged out to early for EOL

The EoL for SFOS v17.5 will be effective Nov 30, 2021.

In addition to EoL, devices running v17.5 MR9 and earlier will also no longer be manageable from Sophos Central due to certificate expiry. This will impact Central Management features such as backup management, alerting, status, and SSO management which will stop working as of November 30th, 2021.

I am aware of this, the firewalls will be replaced next month. We have been waiting for the new XGS hardware.

Hi LuCar,

The firewalls worked without any problem all the time.
There was only these ALERT messages from Sophos Central

Started: Nov 19, 2021 9:27 AM
End: Nov 19, 2021 12:39 PM

I expected these messages after 30 November but not that moment.
I will remove all the old firewalls from Sophos central.

They will al be replaced with new hardware and SFOS next month
