End-of-Life (EoL) announcement for Sophos (XG) Firewall OS firmware v17.5

We have server with SFOS 17.5.16 , we get this notification :
"With all the enhancements over the last two years in Sophos Firewall v18.x, we are announcing the End-of-Life (EoL) of SFOS firmware v17.5 for all devices . The EoL for SFOS v17.5 will be effective Nov 30, 2021." ,"End-of-Life (EoL) is the date at which Sophos will no longer be providing support, security updates, or service. Devices must be updated to a more recent firmware release before the EoL date. "

We don't want to move to V18.5 for now so we have many concerns about : "Sophos will no longer be providing support, security updates, or service" what does it mean ?
1- Sophos with SFOS 172.5 will stopped working at all and the all protections will be deactivated,
2- or only it will not get firmware updates for SFOS in the future.
3- what about pattern updates " ATP , AV , IPs, WAF , etc. " it will always get updates or it will not.
