[Sophos XG]WAF filter rules convert 17.5 to 18.0

We are running a WAF with Sophos XG and skipping the filter rules that interfere with the operation.

We are going to upgrade our SFOS version from 17.5 to 18.0, and we are aware that the ID system of filter rules is different between 17.5 and 18.0.

I don't want to re-examine the filter rules after upgrading to 18.0, but is it possible to convert the 17.5 filter rules to 18.0 filter rules?

    Basically this will be converted but Sophos V18 also upgraded the ModSecurity Version, which basically means new filter and pattern are loaded. This could mean, you need to add additional exceptions.

    Thanks for the advice.
    I guess I will have to set up an additional exception for the filter rules added in the new version of ModSecurity.

    Is the information about the version of Modsecurity used in each version of SFOS disclosed somewhere?

    I do not have a public source of the version but keep in mind, versions on a product like SFOS does not mean, it uses the same kind of pattern etc. Simply as products like SFOS do not upgrade and instead harden there systems.
