Changing Password at local user with OTP Enabled

Dear Community,

I've a trouble with a local user with OTP enabled.

If I reset the password of the local users with OTP enable in the XG gui until I delete the OTP and rejoin it the user can't connect.

Is this correct?

Is mandatory reset the OTP if I change the password?

Thank you

Hi, Thanks for reaching out to Sophos Community.

You don't need to remove the user's OTP token after changing the password. It should work with the new password. To further confirm this, I tested a local user on my device and there weren't any issues with password reset. I tried resetting both from Admin GUI and from the user portal and it worked in both scenarios.

Make sure that you're entering the correct password. You can also create a test user and cross-verify your observations.
