"The system tried to join a drive to a directory on a joined Drive. - Error

Hi

I have 1 user who is receiving the below when they tri and connect to the VPN using Sophos SSL VPN Client.

The user is working form home and this has never really worked, but has at times. The user is connecting from home and using windows authentication and 2FA to connect.

I have checked that "use config file settings" is set on the clients settings, as well as reset his VPN but nothing looks to resolve this.

Any advise?

thanks

  • Hello Dean,

Thank you for contacting the Sophos Community.

Do the networks in their house overlap with the networks in the office?

I would recommend when the user is having the issue, if they can provide you with their Public IP, just tell them to google "What is my IP" once you get their Public IP, do a tcpdump on the XG advanced shell:

    # tcpdump -eni Portx host x.x.x.x (where x is the port of your WAN interface where the SSL VPN connects to, and x.x.x.x is the Public IP of the user)

If you see traffic arriving at the XG most likely there is a rule misconfigured, not likely, if not, see if they have any other type of VPN in their computer, that might be interfering with the SSL VPN.
