I can't get connect the LAN interface to the internet

I have installed Sophos XG in the VMware Workstation (yes, its not in the production network) and gave that two network adapters like this:

VMnet0(Bridged) : 192.168.1.20/24 (Internet) -> NATed with Wireless modem router

VMnet1(Host only) : 192.168.100.130/24 (LAN)

The matter is that LAN interface cannot go to the internet. The rules are the following:

BTW, WAN interface cannot ping the LAN interface and vice versa. When I add a network adapter from VMnet1 address range to a VM in the VMware Workstation, it can connect to the internet and browsing, but when I try to ping address like 8.8.8.8 from  MONITOR & ANALYZE -> Diagnostics to ensure that VMnet1 can reach the internet I got 100 percent packet loss.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • The wan interface cannot see the lan interface unless you create firewall rule that allows the wan interface address to see the lan interface address. The question is why, it is a security risk.
