Backups Not working on the sophos XG 18.0.5 on new version or the older verison/Sophos XG 18.0.5 Firmware version needed

The backups we got on the emails are of 18.0.5 version but when we tried to restore it on 18.0.1 its showing error even with correct passwords for encryption and master storage side.

'invalid backup files or invalid passwords'

We are searching for the 18.0.5 firmware versions of the Sophos XG firewall to download and then upload it on to new machine. As we tried the scenario of going backward on the 18.0.5 version on the VM machine and restored the backup successfully .

Is there any link that we can have the 18.0.5 firmware version to download.

Please help.

    Hi Muhammad, Thanks for reaching out to Sophos Community.

    You can download the latest v18.5 MR-1 and try restoring the backup or upgrade to 18.0.6 MR-6 and then restore the backup which was taken from 18.0.1. You can go either way.

    If this is a scenario where you specifically want the firmware version 18.0.5 then I'd suggest reaching out to the support team. They'll have their due diligence done and provide you with the firmware.
