Slow Import speed for configuration - laptop

Using laptop to import config to a Sophos FW X G 135 from an existing up and running of the same model, the Config file is 1kb in size. connected via front lan port to laptop.  the upload is taking so long to finish is this normal?  is the 1kb compressed? thank you

    XML Files can potentially be huge. Use 7zip to extract the XML and check how many objects are there. 

    You can look on the firewall itself in /log/apiparser.log what the appliance is doing, but potentially the import will be applied by object to object base. Means, if there are 1000 objects, it will apply all objects one by one.
