XG HA greyed out

Hi, we wanted to set up HA with two 210 devices. On the designated passive device everything seems fine but on the active device the configuration is greyed out, see screenshot. I can click on both buttons "Refresh" and "Stop discovery" but nothing happens. On console i can only see "ha disbaled" when i check the status.

Do i miss something? We're on SFOS 18.5.1 MR-1-Build326

Oh yeah we tried rebooting the device several time, no change.

Did you restore the configuration? Is this a backup?

Hi LuCar Toni, yes, this device has been restored from a backup, but that was a long time ago when 18.0.4 was the firmware. Back then Quick HA was bugged and i think this was fixed with 18.0.5.

We didn't try again since today when we applied 18.5.1

Backups essentially store the configuration of the HA. So therefore it expects the old HA Config. See: https://docs.sophos.com/nsg/sophos-firewall/18.5/Help/en-us/webhelp/onlinehelp/HighAvailablityStartupGuide/AboutHA/HAOperation/index.html#backup-and-restore

So you are right now in the weird state, that you should build up the HA as configured there and cannot stop this process.

If you know the password, you used, you could use Port8 to connect it. If not, you could create a case and ask to remove this state.
