SFOS HW version vs SFOS SW version.

hello

what the are differences between SFOS HW version vs SW version? are their differences in features and performance? .

for example If I have XG 430 with SFOS HW, and I get server with same Hardware or better of XG 430 (CPU, RAM, etc.) and I installed SFOS SW with license, I will get same performance or SFOS HW is best than SFOS SW.

    No, you wont. Simply because the hardware is using a more optimized integration of the hardware compared to the bare metal installation. Likely you will also not find a fully supported deployment, as Sophos cannot test all raid driver etc. And if you start to use a hypervisor, you will loose performance.
