MPLS and broadband configuration

As I am new to Sophos UTM this might be a silly question, but need suggestions.

We have XG136 with one WAN port is connected to Broadband (internet) and other WAN port is connected to MPLS line which is used only for suzuki datacenter (ex).

The scenario is as below:

Any user when they access a particular website (ex) : www.suzuki.private.com/common, it should go to MPLS link and when they access internet ( or any other site) it should go to Broadband line. We do not want wan link load balancing.

Please let me know how this could be done.

Broadband network: 192.168.1.0/24

MPLS network: 192.168.2.0/24

LAN network: 192.168.0.0/24

Regards

Ravi

  • This is more likely a scenario for a PAC / WPAD file.

With WPAD you can give the client a browser based direction for certain proxies etc. You can publish WPADs via AD / GPO.

If you want to do this on a network based level, this gets complicated. You would have to do a SD-WAN Policy based Route. Then enter the domain and route it to the MPLS. But the other end has to be able to figure out what to do with the traffic.

  • Thank you very much, I created SD-WAN routing policy and it worked fine.
