Setup VLAN between SophosXG and Netgear Nighthawk

thank you for update. The APs will need to provide tagged ports similar to a managed switch.

how many ports does the xg86 come with?

Maybe you can achieve your goal without a managed switch... try to create a bridge with two free ports of your xg86w and then create all vlan segments you need on your port bridge...
Create firewall rules for the wanted communications and do not forget the corresponding nat rules into the internet / other network segments.
