Shrew Soft VPN Client blocked for outgoing traffic in XG 330

Hi,

aynone an idea, why shrew soft vpn is blocked by the xg 330? I tested it with my "All you can do token", where everything is open, but xg is blocking the traffic to a external fritzbox.

A computer in the vlan 100 want to connect to a fritzbox outside our network via shrew soft vpn.

I found out, thats xg says "unclassified application".

Iam wondering why our firewall is blocking the traffic. Our vpn's from the sophos (SSL and IPsec) to company routers or our clients from outside can easily connect.

Only on this shrew soft vpn client softwae, xg is blocking it.

  • Hello Patrick,

Thank you for contacting the Sophos Community.

It looks like the XG might be blocking it base on a Firewall Rule, I would suggest you run a Packet Capture on the GUI of the XG and confirm the traffic is hitting the correct Firewall Rule (the one that has no APP control or Web Control enabled).

    Regards,
