Windows deployment services (PXE boot) and Sophos XG210

Hello,

Anyone using Windows Deployment Services (WDS) with Sophos XG210, using Windows DHCP server. Clients on one VLAN and the Servers on another VLAN?

Any step by step guide or tips? Pulling my hair out on this (almost bald!)

  • Figured it out. It was Sophos XG210. One FW rule was created to allow data between the Server VLAN and Client subnet. Strangely it did not register any in/out statistics.

On the Logviewer, data transmissions from Server VLAN to Client subnet was strange. Data from the Server VLAN to the Client subnet was shown as IN - VLAN and OUT - VLAN - both on the same interface.

For three days, I've been on this. Finally I went into every interface and clicked apply.

Now It works. Will be testing the connection to a managed switch next.

Could this be a race condition somewhere in v18.5?
