Howto create tcpdump filedump for IPv6 (DHCP) on WAN & Howto configure IPv6 RA to ignore or wait for RA

Hi,

i need some help in configuring IPv6 at WAN Port2 for XG 18.5.1 MR

First i would like to capture the WAN Pakets with tcpdump filedump '-i Port2 -port 67' .

Then i would like to analyze the DHCP IPv4/IPv6 traffice with wireshark, but this fails (syntax is wrong).

Background:

For a working IPv6 , most devices i tried need to ne configured with DHCPv6 at WAN Port.

AND i need to tell the Devices NOT to wait for RA and configure most of the IPv6 Adresse (except RA and next neighbour) from DHCP. The ISP doesn´t use a correct RA announcement and sends these RA data in a time interval of 10-15 minutes.

So the RA information is send after 10-15 minutes and is repeated after 15 minutes (i think this is a requirement).

But many devices, i think the XG behaves the same, are not waiting long enough for RA and just ignores the RA.
As a resullt IPv6 is not working.

Working devices (FritzBox, openwrt, pfsense, Securepoint, Windows 10)

Not working devices (LANCOM, Sophos, maybe some more)

The working devices mostly have an option to ignore the missing RA and just configure some IPv6 parts.
After a while, these devices read the RA and configure completly after 10-15 minutes.

LANCOM has a Beta Firmware with a fix.

Question 1: How do i capture IPv6 at Port2 into a filedump.

Question 2: How would i tell the XG to ignore or wait for the RA.

Thanks

Jürgen
