Is it possible to have XG210 firmware1 and firmware2 to be of the same version and build?

Hello chaps!

I'm trying to update both firmwares (FW1 & FW2) on the XG210 to 18.5.1 MR-1. 

Currently I have 

FW1: 18.5.1 MR-1-Build326 and,

FW2: 18.0.5 MR-5-Build586

In the Backup & Firmware page, the 18.5.1 MR-1 firmware cleared the checksum but it wasn't able to update and an error message was returned.

Wondering if this is a failsafe by Sophos to keep one FW different from the other?

    Hi,

    are they a HAvpair, if so they should be on the same version. If stand-alone you can run whatever version you likw

    e as long as it is still supported.

    Hi,

    Via the webadmin it is not possible to run the second firmware (passive) with the same firmware as the active firmware. The idea behind this is, if something does not work after an update, you simply come back to the old, functional state. Attention: the passive firmware has also always the old state (at the time of the update) of the configuration.
