XG85 Constant Disk Light

I have an XG85 that I pulled out of production due to performance issues (slow response etc). Its not the fastest little box anyway but for some reason it has constant disk activity (flashing). Even after doing a factory reset. Its on 17.5 (MR12?). At this point I've replaced the unit with something newer, but I'm still curious if anyone has any ideas what is going on with it. Thanks.

Thank you for contacting the Sophos Community.

The XG85 by default has no Hard Drive, it only has an eMMC of 8GB, it’s normal to see the flashing activity constantly.

Thanks for the clarification on the storage type. Regardless of storage type, unless I am miss-remembering there were periods when the disk light would stop blinking. Even with no network connections its been blinking furiously for 24+ hours now.

Hello Matthew,

It could be that the memory is failing, or a service is stuck, you can check what service is taking the CPU by running "top" from the Advanced Shell.
