Outlook receiving old duplicate emails

Dear Team we have strange issue,

We have just deployed sophos XG firewall and also hosting in-house email server, our outlook users are receiving old readed emails as new duplicated unreaded emails after new firewall. 

Anyone can help me out

    What is the firmware version on our firewall? Did you configure SMTP operation mode as MTA or Legacy?  Would it be possible for you to share email protection configuration screenshot? You may obscure your email domain and IP address for discretion.
