Sophos XG Backup and Restore V18 ect

You need to take into account the hardware or provisioned VM's. There are limitations, in short it has to be equal or better in terms of ethernet ports & other items from memory.

Thanks, I will look at the docs. I tried to export a software version to go onto a VM machine but it didnt have enough ports.

Im not to sure if that was the proper issue thou.

Also I recently tried to go from a V18 MR1 105Model to a MR5 115Model and it didn't  like it .

I would have thought going to a bigger model would have been OK, I'm pretty sure I've done that before. Unless the 105 was a wireless and the 115 non wireless?

Yeayh, I thought so too, What was even stranger is they were both V17 . So tried taking the V17 105 to the V17 115 as thats what it had on it.

Then I upgraded the 115 to V18 MR5 and tried with an V18 MR1 didnt like the V18-MR1

Recently tried to go from a SFOS V18 - MR1 , To a VMWARE V18 MR5 didnt like it .
