Portable Download Block

Hi,

In my organization I want to block Portable Apps. But the issue is that I am not sure as to at which time which user will download which Portable App, so using Application Filtering is of no use as per my requirement., because application is not fixed.

Can anyone advise how to configure dynamic application filtering such that any user downloading any Portable App will be blocked ?

    Some your request does not make sense. Either you want to block the portable (whatever it is) or you don’t want to block it?

    are some users allowed to use the portable app?

    Hi Ian,

    No one is allowed to use, but since users are smart enough and say if they download any app and use it, that's the reason I want to configure dynamically application filter since I am not aware in advance as to which user will download which portable apps.

    Hi,

    you will have to create a permanent block policy and apply that to a firewall rule.

    You asking the firewall to read people's minds so the filter will be active to stop the download, then disable itself after blocking the application?
