SATC migration path with the Sophos Only

Hi,

Sophos SATC is an authentication client for deploying on the RDP servers so that policies for the thin-client users can be applied.

Sophos recently announced end-of-support for the SATC i.e. 31st July 2021 and announced migration within the different product line of the sophos i..e Intercept X End-Point Solution

Does it means for SATC we will have to use Intercept X along with the  XG firewall to protect RDP/Thin-Client, if yes then, this is not an acceptable solution from sophos, because we have purchased Sophos XG firewall and there is another endpoint security solution, we deployed, why should sophos force user to buy another product, they should provide solution within the XG Firewall only, without forcing users to buy another their product.

As Sophos XG is an independent product, further solution has to be within product line only, user shouldn’t be forced to buy another product when they have already purchased alternative end-point products like Symantec, Mcafee, Bitdefender working in their network.

If Sophos can achieve a work-around using Intercept-X why cant they continue development for the SATC.

As in current pandemic situation many people working from home most of the people using RDP to work, while there other competitive products in the market like Dell Sonicwall, Fortigate etc.. are having solutions for thin-client authentication / RDP authentication within their product line only.. why can't sophos do that
