SOPHOS XG330 and RED 50 Tunnel Ping Timeout

Hi,

I need to help in troubleshooting the issue that im facing since last 3 days.

I have 30MB dedicated bandwidth in our Head Office. We have 25 Branches connected via RED50 Devices with 4MB up/down dedicated bandwidth.

This past few days our connection to the branches started to drop. Im getting lots of ping timeout between the link. Now our employee in the branch are complaining as they cannot work very well as they are accessing an ERP application in the head office. Frequently the application hang.

My concern is it related to the bandwidth in the Head Office since im catering to 25 RED Tunnel Connection?

Why just suddenly it happen now since the link was working fine these past months?

Please hope somebody from the community could help me point the way to troubleshoot the issue.

Thanks,

Nidz

    Hi ,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community!

Would it be possible for you to turn off the firewall acceleration, monitor the issue, and provide an update?

Run the following command from Advanced Shell to turn off the firewall acceleration:

    • system firewall-acceleration disable

    Connecting to the Advanced Shell

    1. To connect using SSH, you may use any SSH client to connect to port 22 of the SFOS device.
    2. Select option 5 Device Management.
    3. Select option 3 Advanced Shell

    Thanks,

  • Hi H_Patel,

Thanks for the support. I tried your suggestion still the same. Issue is that sometimes i got good connection then suddenly it will drop. Btw we have 2 (30MB link) we already separate the connection from the branches into half between this 2 link nbut still the same issue. I check in the dashboard it seems normal CPU 18% and Mem 34%

    Thanks,

    Nidz
