unifi AP on sophos XG85

i was able to get the unifi AP up and running on a sophos xg85 LAN side network.

1. keep the unifi controller on dhcp

2. create a dhcp on sophos and assign a range within the LAN subnet.

3. in my case i have a DNS server running with AD DC.

4.assign a dhcp range in unifi which is a different subnet than the sophos

5. now sophos will assign ip address to any wifi device connected to unifi and it works

    Hi ,

Thank you for reaching out to Sophos Community.

Just to add on you can also configure Unifi AP in bridge mode to get DHCP IP assigned directly from the Sophos Firewall.

  • hi

    sorry for the late reply

i did try as you said

for some unknown reason sophos was not allowing to connect to internet

didn't do a research on that

but will try again and update you

as of now i have a

    unifi

    cisco wap571

    ciscowap4410n

    all up and running.

    unifi was a challenge.

followed the same steps for cisco and they worked.

    thank you
