Red Device Access

Hello everybody.

I would like to clear a technical question about RED devices.

I understand that all his administration is via Central. I would like to understand if there is administrative access to the equipment to perform any troubleshotting (diagnostic of the internal network). Example a ping, a traceroute and so on.

Is there such access to it? Even if it's over SSH.

Another question, RED devices, are they multi-site? Could it make it connect to two sites?

    Thank you for contacting the Sophos Community.

    It’s not possible to SSH to the RED, only support can access it, if you have some type of communication issue, you can open a case with Support and they can investigate.

    Currently, RED devices only can connect to 1 site/XG Device, however if in your XG you have to WAN Ports you can configure the RED to Failover in case one of the WAN ports of the XG fails.

    There are no issues with RED devices. My goal is to find out if there is the possibility of making diagnostics on the internal network and not on the equipment. How to ping to another equipment such as a server, switch and so on.
