Allow only some users to google drive.

Hi

I have a rule and web policy that blocks google drive for all users.

I would like to allow some users access to google drive.

So far I've achieved this via an extra rule and policy linked to the users that need access. Its a clone of the current policy/rule but I allow google drive as a category I created. This doesn't seem like the right way as I have to maintain 2 web policies/rules and maybe more as time goes on.

What is the best way to achieve this outcome?

XG210 (SFOS 18.0.5 MR-5-Build586)

Thanks

  • Hi,

that is the most logical method because you can add and delete users very easily to the allowed rule.

Rules for specific applications/web access are easier to control and debug than trying to use an all in one rule. You can see what is happening very easily and modify as required.
