TCP/IP Connection drops every 24 hours

Hello.

We have 5 sophos XG customers (Sophos XG 210, SFOS 17.5.15 MR-15) with the same problem.

Those customers are doing backups to the cloud (Azure), among the VMs we are backing up we have two "huge" VMs, with 4 to 6 TB of data within. The backup software can't complete the first "full backup" because the connection to the cloud is "dropped".

We analyzed the backup software logs and found out that the connection is dropped exactly after 24hours since the backup starts, 24hours are not enough to complete the first full backup.

We have a QoS firewall rule managing the bandwidth avaibale to the backup server who is restricting bandwidth during working hours. We tried to boost up the bandwidth limits (to test) and the backup gets completed within 24 hours, without errors.

We don't have this problem if we don't pass through sophos!

So it should be a sophos issue.

Is there something we can check or are there limits on the "active TC/IP sessions" within sophos? Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Mattia
