Regarding Sophos XG Firewall Licance Upgrade

you downloaded the trial licence and you want to purchase and install a business licence?

You can upgrade the license in the Appliance webadmin. Only if you purchase the correct license in the first place.

Simply go to Administration - Licensing. 

There is a option to activate a license Key. 

This option is not enabled for my xg firewall

The Base license is expired. This means the firewall itself is not valid anymore. Base firewall is not a subscription, instead a license valid until year 2999.

You need to do a license transfer to get this appliance registered. 

Did you purchase a total protect (with base license) or only a subscription? You should got a new serial number by your partner. 

If so, you can register the new serial number in mysophos. Then do the license transfer and move the new license to this serial number. See: https://support.sophos.com/support/s/article/KB-000036692?language=en_US
