We upgraded SOPHOS XG to MR5. After the update users are complaining that the internet access is very slow and not usable. A workaround as a test was to disable malware and content scanning on a rule basis.
But if scanning is enabled HTTP File uploads (wetransfer, filelab) and even MS Teams connections timed out. Instead of disabling all scanning we disabled the firewall acceleration in the device console. This seems to fix all problems.
What is this about?
If we failover to 2nd appliance we need to disable it again to get internet working.
Is this behavior currenlty expected and a fix maybe in development?
