XG 18 - Export firewall and NAT rules in human readable form

Hello. There are tons of articles for the old UTM form system, however the rules are not easily readable or parseable.

Is there a human-readable, printable version of the firewall rules (CSV or similar) to which we can export rules with so we can at a glance see all the rules on the system rather than having to create a rule mapping of what exists currently by hand? There's no documentation on this for XG v18.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community!

I'd suggest you try to export the selective configuration from your firewall. Go to Backup & Firmware> Import/Export > Select "Export selective configuration > FirewallRuleGroup or required configuration that you would like to review.

Unfortunately this is only a half-answer. XML is not super human readable when you have a ton of rules, and I still have to 'parse' it. Is there any direct-to-nonXML export system out there?

Thomas, did you ever find a way to do this? Parsing the XML, in a word, sucks! One would think that there would be an easy way to export the rules. Most other vendors have this feature.
