Help with connecting Pfsense to Sophos

Hi

I am new to routing technology and I would not mind if someone could really help me break down things

I just got a Sophos xg firewall router and I also have an existing pfsense firewall

I want to link both router using one Interface on pfsense and one Interface on Sophos so I can access the server resources on the pfsense using my Sophos router

Pfsense network is 10.10.10.0/24 on interface 4 while the

Sophos network is 11.11.11.0/24 on interface 4

I believe I should be able to use static route on both Sophos and pfsense to achieve this

What will be my destination ip for the Sophos and gateway also for the pfsense and I know I also need to specify some rules

  • Hi,

the XG is a firewall that can pass traffic between interfaces, it is not primarily a router.
to link the devices they will need to be in the same network eg one has a fixed address and the other picks up an address in the same range and then you setup rules to allow traffic into that network.

your request is a little strange, what exactly are you planning on using the XG for?
