Customize quarantine digest mail and release-link

Hey there,

we recently migrated our email protection from Sophos UTM to Sophos XG 230 (SFOS 18.0.5 MR-5-Build586).

Now we want to customize the email text written in the quarantine digest email. Is this now possible? I read in threads 2 years ago that this isnt possible, maybe this is now possible?

We also noticed that the release-link in the quarantine email is not releasing the email, instead it opens a browser with the message "You can release quarantined emails only from user portal. To release them, sign in to user portal." Doesnt this make the link obsolete? 

As for our workflow we as the administrators/helpdesk eployees are releasing the emails manually we would appreciate if the functionality for the user to release his quarantine emails by himself would work.

Sure he can go to the User Portal and do this manually but this would make that link in the quarantine digest truly useless.

As the UTM had this feature, i have an additional question. Is it possible to have a "keyword-filter". So mails which contain this keywords are put in quarantine no matter what?

    Hello Pascal,

    Thank you for contacting the Sophos Community.

    Following feedback from PM about this query, this was a change mentioned in the following KB.

    PM mentioned that there are no plans to remove the link on v18, but a redesign of the User Portal is coming on v19.

    Currently, the XG on MTA doesn't support the "keyword-Filter", that would be a Feature request, I will pass it along to PM.

    You can also check Central Email that currently supports Keyword Filter, and also the user can release quarantine spam from the quarantine digest email directly.

    Is there any preview of the v19 in some way? Or maybe even a release date?

    We are planning to migrate completly to Sophos Central in the next 3-5 Years, as we know the Sophos Central Mail has much more configuration options and features. But for now, we can live with the XG-MTA.

    Hello Pascal,

    Thank you for the follow-up.

    At the moment there’s no available preview for v19, but once an EAP is available it’ll be announced publicly. 18.5 is coming out in a couple of months, and after that 19, so I am guessing the end of the year beginning of next.
