Wireless Firmware 11.0.015 release notes, please

I'm asking for frequent release notes of the firmwares.Recently our XG shows new firmware for WiFi: 11.0.015

For some reason sometimes there is a blog post for it, sometimes not. I cannot remember the existance of a general portal for the release notes at Sophos?

We've had some serious issues with WiFi on AP55c where the APs dropped the clients avery few minutes and so we need to know if this has been fixed.

  • Hi,

if you test this release please update this thread as I am interested in the results.

Also, will this firmware update be pushed out via wireless central?

  • Hi,

I have been testing the firmware on  my 4 Sophos APs and in summary it is worse for connections speeds. Now even the windows 10 wifi connection drops to 24mb/s where as user the previous version is stayed at 866mb/s.

Though it does ramp up under load much faster but doesn't stay ramped upper very long. The MAC min drops back to 24mb/s straight after the completion of the speediest and even though I am using the MACmini wifi to update this thread and review the XG performance, the connection shows 24mb/s.

More information :- The AP55s could see the MAC mini at 100%, the APX120 can only see it at 65%. The APX 120 seems to have around 400mb/s as the idle connect speed for both the W10 ad the MAC Mini, while not ideal it is way better than 24mb/s.

More results, some hours later, the MAC mini has connection issues, failed when connected to the XG GUI and web surfing. Speedtest failed to connect and no it was not an internet access issue because my wife was using flightradar and one other flight service at the time.
