Backup could not be sent due to incorrect server configuration

I trie to send xg 330 backup but does not work

Any help about this

Did you configure the notification settings on your firewall?

Notification settings

Is email protection configured on your firewall? If yes, is it MTA or legacy mode?

thanks I already tried both forms MTA and Legacy Mode, same error

Could you please check the telnet connectivity to the configured mail server?

Refer to the article below to check telnet connectivity with the mail server.

support.sophos.com/.../KB-000035965

Also, try to send a test email(Administration > Notification settings) and check if it gets delivered or not.

Thanks I already tried for external SMTP server and also build-in SMTP server, both if I receive alerts but not the backup

Could you please share a snapshot of email action for the backup & test email from the log viewer?

Also, please follow the below steps to check smtpd_main.log

==> Login to SSH > 5. Device Management > 3. Advanced Shell

# tail -f smtpd_main.log

==> Try to send a backup configuration manually and share session output here or in PM.
