Hi,
I am new to Sophos XG and I am experiencing some issues when setting up an VLAN.
We have three completely independant networks and two WAN circuits at each of our sites. These networks are for 1. Staff / 2. CCTV / 3. Resident. We have a number of XG135's which work as expected as they have 8 NICs available but for smaller sites we were advised to have the XG115 which only have 4 - Bugger!
I can see there is an option to setup a VLAN which I have done and I now have a port configured to allow this and I have setup all ports inc the VLAN port with a DHCP server. From here I am having issues.
On each of the networks we have Layer 2 Switches. In a test environment I have configured an indepenant Layer 2 switch with the required Trunk Port to carry both the Native LAN and the VLAN to a specific access port.
For some reason when I am connected to the VLAN Access Port I am unable to obtain a DHCP address. Connecting to any other port gives me an IP address of the native LAN port.
I feel what I am trying to do is pretty straight forward. Is there something simple I am missing? I have removed and recreated everything and I have also followed a number of Sophos videos on how to properly create the VLAN.
Any advice would be greatly apprecaited.
Many thanks, Daniel Hargrove
