Home License: available memory vs memory usage

I have a question. According to all the information i can read on this forum the limitations of the Home License are:

  • 6 GB RAM,
  • 4 cores maximum of resources are use

So i moved my Sophos XG from an old machine to a brand new one which has 8GB of RAM. Sophos does recognize the 8GB and even reports on it (see the attached image)

My question is: is the 8GB actually being used?

  • The CPU/RAM Limitation is done by a Kernel Parameter over GRUB.

Apparently on v18 EAP 1 this parameter got removed, and never got added back. (You can check on BASH with "cat /proc/cmdline")

My question is: is the 8GB actually being used?

    Yes.
