Sophos Connect Client unusable after Windows 10 updates

Hello everyone,

We have an XG230 (SFOS 18.0.4 MR-4). Since the beginning of deploying the Sophos Connect Client to users, when a Windows 10 update occurs, the TAP driver necessary for SSL VPN to work vanishes, the Sophos Connect Client complains that no TAP driver or the entire VPN subsystem does not work.

The only solution is to completely uninstall and reisntall the Sophos Connect Client, unti the next Windows update, where either the the TAP driver is missing again or the VPN subsystem is down.

Sophos Support is not helping, they claim that they checked the issue in the lab, and its not present.

The issue occurs after any Windows update, not only major ones.

Any help will be greatly appreciated, if the issue is not solved, we would have to migrate all employees systems to OpenVPN client, losing the ability to have both IPSec and SSL VPN in ne client.

Best regards

Kostas
