Group of access points managed by an xg430 and the rest of the network by an xg230.

Hello everyone, best regards. I have an installation supported by an xg230 and as the infrastructure grew, I added more access points than the xg230 supports. The above made me understand that there were too many access points and clients connected to them (more than 1500), which were supported by the xg230 and I decided to buy an xg430 exclusively for this, thus moving most of the access points, except for some and leave the xg230 more free of charge. The xg430 should take care of managing the almost 60 access points and web and application filtering, but without any authentication. The xg230 acts as the main Firewall that manages only some access points, all vlans (15), web and application filtering, user authentication, vpn and logs. It is not clear how I should do this configuration correctly. Hopefully you can help me understand and indicate the steps to follow. Thank you very much already.

  • I would rather move to Central Wireless and use Bridge to VLAN. Replacing the management on one console.

  • Surely it should be a good alternative, but the local sophos partner, recommending the solution indicated above and having already acquired the hardware, I must make use of it and make it profitable for at least 4 years, before migrating to another scenario. Therefore, I need to link both firewalls and make the 430 take over the load of the access points and their web filtering, and the 230 take care of only the rest of the network.
