XG 330 HA Active-Active and Lag to 2 Dell S5524F-ON switches in VLT

I am setting up a new environment. I have 2 XG 330's that I am planning on deploying in Active-Active mode. On the LAN side I will have 2 Dell S5224F-ON switches. The switches will be utilizing VLT (equivalent to MLAG). My plan is to utilize flexi ports 1-4 on the XG 330's in a LAG group (LACP mode) with ports 1-2 going to one switch, and 3-4 going to the other. All of our VLANs will be on top of this LAG, and all of our routing will be handled by the XG 330's.

I have a flexi module, and will be utilizing the 10GE ports on it, not actually ports 9-12. But I could not find a visio template that had the flexi-ports. So I substituted ports 9-12 visually.

Also, and I just noticed this, so my apologies. The switches are S5224F-ON's, not S5524F-ON's (I don't even know if such a switch exists).

Does anyone have any experience with this type of setup? Will this type of configuration work? Is there a better way to set it up?

  • Hello Joshua,

Thank you for contacting the Sophos Community.

I would recommend you to reach out to your Sales Engineer, so they can assist with PoC and configurations setup, they have experience with this type of setups.

In any case, this configuration should work, I think your configuration matches the 3rd image in this KB, that points to this KB.

    Regards,
